Roy Ledgard makes wooden figures since age 8, when a wooden hanging ornaments (tikis) became fashionable. He was born in Peru and landed in Spain in 1971. At 21 he began his studies at the Ceramics School of Madrid, where he was 4 years. His teacher was Manolo Alvarez, who took him as an apprentice to his stone sculpture workshop.
